About Us

Bruce Weddel has been a lifetime entrepreneur.  He started his first business while at the University of Western Ontario to help pay for his education.  Leaving school after one year of university he started buying, selling and renting income properties. After 5 businesses  and seven years in an industry that trains like no other - the life insurance business - he joined an advertising company based in Los Angeles.

In less than a year, he went from Salesperson to National Sales Manager, training managers and salespeople across North America.  It was hard work and long hours as anyone who's travelled for a living knows. 

In 1998 he left the company to start his own publishing company with a real estate magazine called The Direct Access Program.


In 2004 he took over a small website called SavingUmoney.ca in lieu of payment for a debt owed to him.  He rebuilt it and remarketed it. 

The part that surprised him was that the advertisers were getting a better response from a website then they were from the magazine.  Not only that, the costs to the company and to the advertisers were less because there were no costs to physically print anything.  Both the advertisers and the company were making a better rate of return on less money invested. 

After 3 years of watching the success of SavingUmoney.ca, Bruce sold the publishing business and has been "online" since.

In 2005, RealEstateNewListings went live and there are plans for TheWeddingStore.ca to open soon.


SavingUmoney.ca's first market was Newmarket, Ontario and the surrounding area.  Since then, a successful Licencee for the Barrie, ON area has joined us and we've completed test markets in London, Windsor, Kitchener-Waterloo and Vaughan.
